The credit limit we’ve given you is based on your personal circumstances. We know it can be frustrating if you haven’t got the credit limit you hoped for.

To determine the credit limit on your credit card, we look at different factors including affordability, any late and/or missed payments as well as changes to your credit score and report. We also get information from Experian (a Credit Reference Agency), about how you manage any other accounts you have outside Virgin Money.

You can appeal your credit limit. If you’d like to do this, please get in touch with us within 14 days of opening the credit card account. Please let us know why you’d like to appeal, and what additional information you can provide that would support your request for a higher credit limit.

If you change your mind about continuing your credit card application, that’s okay. You have the right to withdraw from your agreement within 14 days from the day after you receive your credit card.

If you’re happy to go ahead with your application, you can request a credit limit increase once you’ve had your card for a minimum of 6 months. Please remember that while you can request an increase, we’re not able to guarantee it will be approved.
