The time it takes for a payment to clear on your credit card depends on how and when the payment was made. If you make a payment on a Bank Holiday or weekend, your payment may be delayed by up to 2 days.
Direct Debit
• We'll take this payment on or just after your chosen date. This will show in your credit card transactions list on the same day
Bank Transfer or Bank Payment
• This will usually show in your credit card transactions list within 2 hours of you making the payment
Debit Card
• If you've paid by Debit Card in the Virgin Money Credit Card app, payments can take up to 3 days to show in your credit card transactions list
• If you've paid by Debit Card over the phone, payments usually show in your credit card transactions list on the next working day
Your credit card balance will then be updated to reflect your payment.
